SOU Gimnazija “Mirche Acev” Prilep

Gimnazija “Mirche Acev” Prilep is a public school and the oldest secondary school in the city, which began its educational professional practices from 1944/45. Each year here study about 900-1000 students (aged 14-18) from Prilep and its surroundings, who learn under curricula and plans of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic North Macedonia. The school has 70 teachers, whose great enthusiasm, principles and commitment to work allows successful implementation of curricula and achieving top results in the educational process. In all the years of its operation “Mirche Acev” Prilep has achieved great results in different educational fields, through the activities of its students in the community, national and international competitions. In direction to increase the quality of the education of students, our school often collaborate with other schools, organizations and institutions in the country and abroad, for holding courses, trainings and implementation of projects:

        “Digital Friendship“ eTwinning project (partners: Croatia, Portugal, Poland, Greece, Turkey, Serbia, Armenia, Spain, Italy). Through this project, our school acquired a Quality Label and the students participating in the project through the Move2Learn initiative received an award-winning trip to Zagreb/Croatia to visit the partner school, 2017-2018

        Educational workshop at the Research Station in Petnica/Serbia. Students from our school participated and cooperated with students from Serbia, Slovenia, Croatia and Montenegro.

 Our school has been participating and achieving remarkable results at various competitions and science fairs for years:

        chemistry competitions organized by the University Cyril and Methodius – faculty of Natural Sciences and Mathematics (municipal, regional and state)

        almost every year we have students in the Olympic team

        state competitions for young researchers organized by the “Narodna Tehnika” Macedonia

        state competitions of Innovations organized by FITR (Fund for Innovation and Technological Development)

        International competition for researchers at Turkey MEF University
