SPŠCH is a state school, founded in 1953. It is a dynamically developing school with a supra-regional reach. The subjects taught at the school are unique not only in the Pardubice region, but also in the Czech Republic. The school provides secondary education with a matriculation exam in the fields of:
Applied Chemistry, Fire Protection, Safety and Legal Activities.
The school also provides education in two fields of study:
Chemist and Hairdresser and in additional fields Chemist Operator, Security Services and Hair Cosmetics.
We work very closely with our strategic partners. The school is the centre of lifelong learning. The school is a partner school of the Cambridge Examinations Center and provides students with the opportunity to take the language exam at level B1, B2, C1, i.e. PET, FCE, CAE, after a previous two-year language preparation in the form of an optional seminar.
The school is very active in international projects. It has a high-quality teaching staff and excellent conditions for teaching all subjects in the newly renovated premises and outdoor area. Thanks to these facts, the students of the school are very well prepared for their careers.
The quality of the education provided is also evidenced by the high success rate in state matriculation exams (93-95%) and the success of pupils in branch competitions. The founder of the school (Pardubický region) considers our school to be a flagship school in the region. We greatly value the fact that we are holders of the Erasmus+ VET Charter award – Certificate of mobility in vocational education and training, which testifies to the quality of organized mobility projects.
The school has over one thousand students (15-19 years) and over 140 employees. Students use modern classrooms equipped with interactive whiteboards or data projectors, school library, gymnasium, fitness centre, school playground, cafeteria. There is a laser shooting range, a forensic laboratory, a training fire tower, modern chemical laboratories and hair and beauty salons.
The school has extensive experience in organizing international events, providing soft skills training, managing social media tools, coaching and mentoring young people. In the school, a good project team is motivated to participate in a new project and has experience in project management.
